band 7 Occupational Therapist , Full time / Part time - within
the Paediatric Occupational Therapy Team.
Service development has provided a brilliant opportunity for a dynamic
and motivated therapist to deliver high quality Paediatric Occupational
Therapy within our established multidisciplinary team and to contribute
at a senior level to service development.
If you have Paediatric Occupational Therapy experience and enjoy being part of a dynamic, experienced team- working closely with colleagues in Physiotherapy, Speech and Language Therapy and Community Paediatricians, then this is an ideal position for you.
The OT service is responsible for providing occupational therapy
intervention to children within the borough of Hillingdon, treating
children and young people aged between 0 to19 years with physical,
sensory and/ or developmental difficulties. The service is an integral
part of multidisciplinary delivery across the borough of Hillingdon.
We work out of a main base located at the Child Development
Centre on the grounds of Hillingdon Hospital, in addition to a range
of settings including Children's Centres, mainstream schools and
patient homes.
Therapists hold varied and interesting caseloads and treatment is
delivered on an individual, MDT or group basis.
Established sensory processing interventions are an integral part
of the service provided.
We serve a range of OT needs in children and young people
including those with :
i) Complex presentations, some with on-going physical needs
requiring assessment for specialist seating, postural management
needs, splinting and hand therapy.
ii) A range of gross and fine motor difficulties affecting functional
abilities in daily living and/or access to the learning environment.
iii) Sensory issues that may exclude them from participating in
other therapies and limiting function in the home.
Multidisciplinary working is a core part of service delivery.The service is reviewed on a regular basis to ensure high standards of dynamic and innovative clinical delivery of Paediatric Occupational Therapy.
We are looking for an enthusiastic therapist with a variety of
experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy who can bring their
individual style, skills and aptitude to inclusive team working and
service delivery.
Professional, clinical and leadership development opportunities

Service delivery takes place across the borough of Hillingdon.
Hillingdon is a borough in North West London with Heathrow in the

transport links to the centre of London by tube, bus and road-
including the M4 and M40, with easy access to the surrounding
counties of Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Middlesex.
