Walsall Healthcare NHS Trust provides integrated acute and community Healthcare in the West Midlands serving a population of 260,000 residents. Walsall Manor Hospital houses the full range of district general hospital services. The 170 million development was completed in 2010 and we are continually upgrading. Construction of the new integrated critical care unit has commenced and is due to be completed 2017, and plans to extend the neonatal unit are underway.

Emergency Department Band 6 Team Leader advert
Following Trust Board approval of the Emergency Department Nursing Workforce business case we have an exciting opportunity for the development and recognition of our senior band 5 nurses. We are looking to promote clinically skilled, enthusiastic staff nurses to become team leaders (sister/charge nurses) within the Emergency Department who will support the management of staff and clinical care of patients within each area of the department and provide senior nurse support to the ED nursing shift co-ordinator by taking management responsibility for designate areas of the department during a shift.

You must demonstrate the ability to motivate staff, have a flexible approach to the changing demands of the service, have high level of clinical skills and demonstrate leadership skills.
