Thurrock First is an exciting new service providing residents of Thurrock a single point of contact for their physical and mental health and social care needs. It is a joint venture between Thurrock Council, NELFT and EPUT (formerly SEPT).
The team consists of administrators, assessors and clinical staff, and provides a service 7am to 7pm 365 days per year, and the post holder will be expected to provide cover across the service hours.
The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills as you are based within a busy patient-facing call centre, dealing with enquiries and referrals to social care, community health and mental health services. in addition, you will be experienced in using IT-based information systems and databases. A background in health or social care would be an advantage but full training and support will be provided.
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
At NELFT we set very high standards to ensure we provide quality services. We require prospective employees to carry out an online literacy and numeracy test, equivalent to NVQ Level 2. If you are successful at interview for this post, you will be required to undertake an assessment for these skills during the pre-employment checks.
Successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview week commencing (11th September 2017).
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (with a minimum of 971 to a maximum of 1,682).
