QEHB provides direct clinical services to nearly 900,000 patients every year, serving a regional, national and international population. We are a regional centre for cancer, trauma, renal dialysis, burns and plastics and have the largest solid organ transplantation programme in Europe. The Trust has the largest kidney programme in the UK and is a major specialist centre for burns and plastic surgery.
We provide a series of highly specialist cardiac, liver, oncology and neurosurgery services to patients from across the UK.
We are world-renowned for our trauma care and have developed pioneering surgical techniques in the management of ballistic and blast injuries, including bespoke surgical solutions for previously unseen injuries. As a result of its clinical expertise in treating trauma patients and military casualties, QEHB has been designated both a Level 1 Trauma Centre and host of the UK's only 20m National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Surgical Reconstruction and Microbiology Research Centre (SRMRC).

The Radiotherapy Department at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham has a fixed term 18 month vacancy for a Cyberknife Advanced Practitioner.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our dynamic radiotherapy team. Applications are welcomed from experienced Radiographers with experience working on Cyberknife.
Our radiotherapy department currently delivers the highest percentage of IG/IMRT treatments in the U.K. and as a Cyberknife Advanced Practitioner you work on Cyberknife with a specialist team of Radiographers and Physicists for a variety of sites We also treat a large number of lung patients with SABR as well as other sites as part of the SABR CTE programme and/or CORE trial.
We are committed to having state of the art technology for our patients and an equipment replacement programme has begun. We already have a wide variety of highly specialised radiotherapy equipment including two CT scanners, CyberKnife, two Tomotherapy HD units, HDR, deep x-ray and six linear accelerators. Five of our Linear Accelerators have CBCT capability and these include two Versa HD units with FFF technology.
Applicants must hold a BSc (Hons) in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent and be registered with the HCPC. Professional development is high on our agenda and we have a commitment to Radiographer led services, with role advancement offered or actively being developed.
Staff will be required to have a flexible approach to working hours to accommodate service demands as there is a requirement to routinely cover extended day working, Monday to Friday between 7.30am to 8pm. In addition there is a requirement to work bank holidays and some occasional weekend working in line with NRAG recommendations.
