Salary increases are awarded based on performance assessed through the annual appraisal cycle.

Job Summary
Set on the outskirts of the University city of Cambridge, Addenbrooke's Hospital is one of the top hospitals in the UK and a thriving NHS Foundation Trust. Staff can enjoy a wide range of facilities which include on-site sport and leisure facilities, a swimming pool, bank and retail outlets.
We are looking for a well-motivated, enthusiastic person with an interest in science to join the team.
This post will work on a rotational basis throughout all the areas of the microbiology laboratory sections, and pre-analytical area. The successful applicant will assist with the receipt, preparation, and processing of routine diagnostic microbiological specimens. Accuracy and attention to detail is important. This post is suitable for people with good GCSE/ A level/ NVQ3 in science and mathematics related subjects, and/or equivalent scientific experience. Full technical training will be given and the post is suitable for all age groups.
We currently are seeking employees to work 13.00-21.00 Monday to Friday. The laboratory also operates 24 hour shift system in which the majority of employees are required to participate. Candidates will be considered for either employment option.
