An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Specialist Nurse Safeguarding Children in the award winning County Durham Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub.
As a Senior Nurse Safeguarding Children (MASH) you will have a key role in the continuing development of practice and relationships with partner agencies, including Children and Adult Services and Police, who are co-located and working together to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-agency integrated team contributing their expertise to the safeguarding case management discussions within the MASH, assessing risk factors and safeguarding issues for adults and children and helping identify those services which are best placed to support the children, adults and families concerned
The successful applicant will have excellent communication and IT skills and will be a first level registered nurse with significant experience as a registered nurse in paediatrics, emergency department, health visiting, midwifery or school nursing. They must have a formal adult teaching/training qualification.
Must be able to travel independently to meet the requirements of the post.
