The Child Health Directorate is a diverse unit delivering services for babies, children and young adults, it incorporates the following services and departments. The emergency portal of entrance of Children's ED and Children's Assessment Unit, Children's Intensive Care Unit, High Dependency Unit, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Medical short and long stay ward, surgical and day case surgery. The directorate is currently in a transformation program to develop an inpatient and day case oncology unit. The Child Health Directorate supports patient care across regional and national networks for paediatric services.

The unit delivers many specialties within a limited bed base, it delivers at pace access for elective and non- elective's patients working within ward and directorate operational and escalation policies, supporting the trust initiatives of the professional standards of ward rounds, red to green, length of stay monitoring.

The Directorate is looking to appoint a dynamic, innovative and forward thinking patient flow co-orindator. If you are able to work at a fast pace, make on the spot decisions to support safe access to paediatric beds and support the directorate management team meet the capacity required for children's services and trouble shoot and develop working in conjunction the directorate Management team action plans to support patient flow then this is the position for you.

The Senior Team are looking to appoint a patient Flow Co-ordinator at band 4, applicants will be required to showcase exceptional interpersonal and advanced communication skills. Have a sound knowledge of paedaitric services across the Child Health Directorate and working knowledge of the directorates operational and escalation polices.
