    Why do i receive jobs by email for areas that I have not selected?  
 

When a topjobs client posts a job on the site, they have the option to target certain areas for candidates.

i.e. They may post a job for a builder and say I want to target the entire UK. This will send jobs by email to everyone who registered in the  specific building category in the UK.

Even if you have said, I just want jobs by email for the North East, because the North East is in the UK, you will still receive a job alert.

 
   

    How do I register to receive job alerts by email?  
 
To register for Jobs by Email alerts. You can click on the graphic on the topjobs homepage and fill in the requested details.

    Why do I receive a username and password when I register for jobs by email?  
 

The username and password is supplied to allow you access to the topjobs portal.

In the topjobs portal, you can edit your jobs by email preferences and you can also browse our training catalogue and purchase online elearn courses to further your knowledge on various subjects.

 
   

    My details are not found when I try to get my password by email  
 
topjobs only introduced passwords for job seekers towards the end of 2004. If you registered prior to this time you will not have a username & password to login. The easiest and quickest way to get a username and password is to unsubscribe from Jobs by Email and resubscribe.

If you registered after this time, please ensure you have entered the address you subscribed with.
 
   

    Can you tell me if my application is being dealt with ?  
 
topjobs provide access to our clients to manage their candidates themselves. Therefore the only answer we can give you is to tell you if your application is on our system. We cannot tell if a client is dealing with your application specifically.
 
   

    How do I modify my criteria for my jobs by email ?  
 

There are 2 options available to you depending on your registration date.
if you registered prior to November 2004 then the quickest option is to unsubscribe and resubscribe. During this process you will be setup with a username/password to enable you to login and change your details in the future.

If you registered after November 2004 then you can login to the site and modify your preferences. you can login from the front page of the topjobs site

 
   

    I can't remember my details to login to your site  
 

if you registered prior to November 2004 then you will not have a login for our site even though you may be registered for Jobs By Email alerts. The quickest option is to unsubscribe and resubscribe. During this process you will be setup with a username/password to enable you to login to our site.

If you registered after November 2004 then you can login to the site using your registered email address and your password. You can login from the front page of the topjobs site.

    How do I update my CV on your site ?  
 
topjobs do not store your CV. When you apply for a job you have to upload your CV at that moment. The CV is only accessible by the company you have applied for the job with. Therefore because your CV is not stored on our site you must update your CV offline and upload it for each job you apply for.
